Sunday Bloody Sunday
UGH! I hate having class on Mon. nights. I need both sun and mon nights to prepare homework that is due for the week. I know I should NOT be doing this right now but I guess it will be considered my study break. I have about 4 chapters left to read and then the presentation to start. I wish there was a college out there that used VHS text books. They could hook up w/ a strong theatrical school and could present the information in monologues, dialogues, and acted out. That would be sooo much cooler.

Where's my Audio Blog
I was looking forward to some live MM...guess you didn't have time to figure it out =( I expect to be hearing a message about the night set to The World At Large in the background.
Thirsty Thursday
Man I couldn't think of a song w/ Thursday in the title...anyone got anything? So yesturday I got my research test back. 5-6 pages front & back filled with answers was turned in 2 1/2 hours after recieved. I thought I had done pretty well but started getting nervous after hearing a girl (who I thought was really intelligent) say that she hoped she at least got a D. Anywhooo I ended up getting a 94%!! So happy. Ok time to meet mindy for lunch ala cash advance!

Ruby Tuesday
So today I was still pretty busy at work. I have been lately and it is nice since the time goes quicker. Today I got an email from Michelle, a girl I played tennis w/ at IC. She is studying in France this sem. and sent a very long recap of the trip so far. She has gone all over!! France, Switzerland, Germany, England...it sounds like a blast. Speaking of traveling, Esperanza-the thrift store on dirksen across from shop n save- has a camper for sale. It's a pull behind and old. I wonder how much they want for it. I wish mtv or fox would pay us to drive it around America while taping us being annoying b33tches. Oh to be lionel richie's daughter. So any ideas for the 5 second video?
On another note, Happy Birthday Jules! I left a message on your page but since you probably won't check it...(deb does she still check this thing at all?) I hope your wildest dreams come true. & what's this about a possible job?! I think I might have to get me one of those. The EPA says there's no room in the inn afterall. =(

Manic Monday
Well thanks to our forefathers I did not have to wake up at 7:30 today. Thank you el presidentes. I rolled out of bed at about 10, had a couple pancakes~my parents had work off too~ looked at old pictures, played some dr. mario and mario 3, had lunch, and visited kaili, doug, ryan, and taegan. Now I have to read a little bit before class tonight. I REALLY don't want to go but after tonight I'll only have 9 more times!

Things I Just Realized
~At PT's I told the drunk guy from the post "hey you're the drunk guy from the post!"
~Avoid anyone with the nickname Yumpy-and any of their friends
~You shouldn't drive with your left knee & right foot when you are 'technically' 'drunk'
We Have A Winner
HA! You are correct sir. Well done, fine show! How long till Valhalla opens, 60 days? Will their famous drink be a shaken martini or a flaming oden? For those of you who may not remember, I had offered bonus points to whoever could figure out what valhalla was. Thanks for the participation. All balods are in and the winner has been declared. However, I hear there is still a reward out for anyone who knows what a stinkstar is.

Ode to Well Drinks-In Good Health Drinks
Oh how I love $1 well drinks at the post. I believe they have even won me over xchochimilco now that the chicos are talking about $2 margaritas. Last night's Student Association meeting was riveting. Since there were only 7 of us it didn't take long and we wrapped up discussion about career fairs and elections in time for me to meet sandu, sam, and dpun back at the well post.
The reason I love the affordable price-in addition to the obvious-is that it allows me to engage in the luxury of tipping. A pleasure I frequently deny myself-much to the chagrin of spfld's bar employees and my more generous, former and current wait staff friends.
I wish someone-deb get on it-would make a bar that combined the post's $1 drinks and endless trail mix, brewhause's popcorn, brown's atmosphere, the bartenders from Floyd’s and the sandbar (even Sonia), dancing at 11 W, the women's bathroom at firehouse, and the Indian from the all star bar to keep squanto at brown’s company. They should call it Tippy’s and the owners would pay the drinktenders plenty so the slogan would be leave your weapons, tips, and sobriety at the door.
ok time to read past the preface of the balanced scorecard.

What a Bud Decision
So last week there was an article about a Miller Brewing Co. worker who was unintentionally caught in a newspaper picture drinking a Bud Light! Ha. So my parents & I were talking about ways Bud should use this story in a commercial. I sent an email to Bud last week and I just got this dissappointing response :(
Oh well, at least I am "friends" with people in high places. If Bud doesn't want to capitalize on this then I want to send something to Busted Tees~let me know what you clever marketing people come up w/!

CTS: BLOGGERS BEWARE
so as becca pointed out (by the way becca-23 for quite a few more days) carpal tunnel syndrome (or as we call it cts) can strike anyone at almost any time-it is not age discriminant. among the list of jobs that can bring on this disorder is: musicians, dental hygienists, meat cutters & cashiers. Stressful hand, arm and neck positions — whether from working at a desk, long-distance driving or waiting on tables! — aggravate the potential for damage.
Also the following sports can be responsible: tennis, downhill skiing, archery, competitive shooting and rock climbing!!

Archery
You will never guess where there is an archery range...... Rochester!! I actually knew about that one though, bc John from the Bullet Express told me about it. However, I wasn't aware that they did archery too. I listed a couple other ones for you too (all very close to us I might add). Maybe I can get us free lessons there as well. O and I think I might have to volunteer at the sports show this weekend.

Becca's Quote of the Week
Here it is, go crazy! I'll give you one for inspiration, not that you need it. "It is folly to take a thorn out of another's foot and put it into your own. "

Fat Saturday
So this year (as you all already know) I celebrated Mardi Gras in St. Louis w/ angie and katie. It was a great time but as I suspected the liquor was flowing like wine and I did not pace myself~somehow a few drinks w/ whiskey slipped in. I vow NEVER to drink whiskey again. I managed to stay awake until about 8pm. When we were back at Angie's apt. KT asked if I wanted to go somewhere else (we had planned on going to a friend's party)or just stay there. I exuberantly replied "I'm going somewhere else!!" Well apparently after a quick rest on the bathroom floor-they found me passed out in Angie's bed. SPENT!! Next year I plan on making it to the post parade festivities.

Super Bowl
For those of you that don't know, Hillary and I have started this thing this year where we go buy hats for sports teams and then cheer them on. Looks like i picked the winning team for the Super Bowl. I wish I had bet. I wish that I had been done with my homework so we could've gone out to watch the game. And, I wish that my Cardinals had won over her Red Sox though. O well, there is still next year!

Question??
Is it good idea for Hillary to invite people to submit posts to her blogg?? Especially, someone like myself. However, I will try to uphold Hillary's faith in me, and submit only appropriate and friendly posts. I will leave anything negative or bad for my own site. At least this is the creed I will try to follow. I am weak though. j/k

Blog Entry: Mattoon-A City For All Seasons
Per Jules' comment I will make a 'real' blog. I WAS going to wait until something worth reading happened, but here goes.
Yesturday another worker asked if I'd go w/ her on a trip to Mattoon. A chance to get out of the office and build some more comp. time. Of course I said yes. We got there around noon so we started looking for a restaurant. At first we were discouraged by the multitude of ratty bars (that were closed). They looked worse then the depot-or the sandbar. But then Susan asked "Do you want to try the Burger King?" OF COURSE!! How could I have forgotten? Mattoon's claim to fame-home of the Original Burger King and Frigid Queen! The second we entered I signed the Guest Book. It was terrific, historic, filled with life long memories. I can't wait to go back!
