learning to save

So I'm getting this magazine called budget living and on the first page there's an add for Le Tigre sweaters. Did I miss something!? Who on a tight budget rolls around on the living room sofa in an $80 polo?

But it did have a web site where you can get restaurant gift cards for 1/3 of their price and 10% goes to charity. restaurants.com

I am doing better w/ my finances...will have my credit card paid off soon and finally opened a savings account up here.

Brought to you by Deb: Halloween Weekend

Jules's favorite holiday is Halloween. As the years go by, I think Halloween is becoming one of my favorite holiday's as well. But, I'm sure our reasons are different.

Last night both Cheryl and Hillary came to the city. We really had no definite plans until the last minute and we spent many hours debating on whether or not we should where a costume. In the end, Cheryl, Doug, and I voted no and Hillary voted yes. So, Hillary decided to go to a costume party that some people from her work were going to and the rest of us went out in wrigleyville. Yes mindy, this was the first step that led us astray from your warnings. Actually, it was pretty much the only step-- we all ended up at home safe and sound at 3 with all of our belongings in tact. Surprise, surprise.

tonight should be fun. Doug found a bar/party to go to and I just bought my first Halloween costume ever. This evening I will be snow white. I'm pretty excited.

o, I don't think I mentioned this to anyone. Thursday night I met Jen & Sean to study and then we all went to a nearby bar for a couple of drinks. The bar we picked happened to be having a pumpkin carving contest, so we decided to join in the festivities. And, the couple beers of course turned into several hours. We all had a lot of fun and I think jen is voting that we end our study sessions like that more often. I think I have to agree, of course my pocketbook might not. What am I talking about, I don't have money to do any of the things I do. Again, I had better get a fat job.

Filler

Well it's been a freakin long time since I've posted. I'll probably have to send you guys an email just to notify you of a new message.

Once you get out of the swing of posting it is hard thinking of anything worth talking about. The Sox just won!! Go Sox! I'm kinda sad that it's over though. I wanted them to win at home. I've decided my favorite player is Cotts. I'm going to send him a baseball next spring training to sign so I can sit it next to my Boston hat and ball signed by Mr. Arroyo =)

So I've found my halloween costume. This is the first time I've had it picked out prior to the night of since I was about 10. I'll post pictures after the weekend. Friday night I think Deb and I are going to a party downtown. $40 all you can drink from 8-1. It is a benefit for fire fighters from New Orleans-which will be there so should be a good time.

Well that should be enough for now.

I don't jump on the band wagon, I just end up there.

Yay Marathon Weekend Is Here. And what better way to kick off Marathon Weekend then to get hammered at a couple co-worker's housewarming party before my Marathon running guests arrive. I can't believe I have to work on Monday. Don't they know it is Marathon Weekend. I thought it was a national holiday or something. Well I don' t really have anything to say. I'm exhausted and think I'm getting sick so am going to bed. Only wrote this to keep up w/ Deb's quota.

Oh today I bought two pairs of shoes and a bunch of winter clothes. It made me feel better after yellow team's awful performance in flag football. Personally I think I am the reason we lost. Hopefully none of my co-workers noticed.

Go WHITE Sox!
